Hatch & Shipping Flexibility Policy

At Chesapeake Farm & Hatchery, we do our best to provide accurate availability and ship dates for all chick orders. Because we are working with live animals, there are times when factors outside of our control can affect both availability and timing.

Availability and hatch factors
Hatch rates and breed availability can vary from week to week. Not all eggs hatch successfully, and some breeds may produce in lower numbers than expected. Factors such as genetics, fertility, weather conditions, and normal hatch variability all play a role.

Shipping schedule adjustments
Occasionally, weather, hatch results, or equipment performance may require us to adjust a scheduled ship date. When this happens, it is always done with the health and safety of the chicks in mind.

What this means for your order
By placing an order, you understand that breed availability and ship dates may change if needed. If adjustments are necessary, we will move your order to the next available date and keep you informed along the way.

Multiple schedule changes
If your ship date needs to be adjusted more than once, you will have the option to cancel your order in accordance with our cancellation policy.
